Shannon, the daughter of Brian and Shawn Crabtree, is a 2018 graduate of Wynford High School. She plans to attend The Ohio State University – Marion Campus this fall and study event planning.

Her senior project inspired Shannon to choose her major. “In order to graduate from Wynford each senior has to complete a senior project,” she explained. “I knew I wanted to do something I enjoy for my project. I always loved going to craft shows, weddings, and other events, so I decided to host a craft show at the school. I learned several things about planning an event and …how stressful it can be. After all the hard work of planning the event, I was able to donate $2,000 to Crawford County Young Life. I also received several good comments about my craft show. Because of what good I did and how well the event went, [this] has inspired me to plan events as an event planner and make other days go just as well.” After high school graduation, Shannon will continue to work and go to school. “While in college I will be working at East of Chicago as assistant manager in Upper Sandusky, she stated. “Once I obtain my college degree, I hope to be an event planner for a company [and] help others make their events successful.”

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Shannon!
