The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Allyson Sostakowski, a 2019 recipient of one of two Tyler Niese Memorial Scholarship awards.
Allyson, the daughter of Robert and Delia Sostakowski, is a 2019 graduate of Buckeye Central High School. She will be attending Bowling Green State University this fall and studying adolescent young adult education or MCE.
Allyson was inspired by a personal experience to study teaching. “During my junior year at Buckeye Central, I was granted the opportunity to become a teacher aid,” she explained. “I spent the first hour of my day in the first grade classroom where I organized, decorated, taught lessons, and administered tests. It really gave me an idea of what being a teacher is like, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.” After graduating with a bachelor’s degree, Allyson plans to find a job in her field, buy a home, and start a family of her own.
Congratulations and good luck in the future, Allyson!
