2019 Scholarship Recipient Spotlight: Caleb Rausch

Posted by Amy Vaughn on Tue, Aug 20, 2019

The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Caleb Rausch, the 2019 recipient of the Larry Schiefer Memorial Scholarship award.

Rausch_Caleb-croppedCaleb, the son of Tim and Dana Rausch, is a 2019 graduate of Wynford High School. He will be attending the University of Toledo this fall and studying civil engineering.

"For as long as I can remember, I have been amazed by how things were built," Caleb explained. “After finding out there is a degree program that allows me to help design and build structures it was an easy decision to make this my career choice.” Caleb has numerous goals. “One of my biggest personal goals is to graduate with as little student loan debt as possible. Toledo’s co-op program presents me with the opportunity to make this possible. Looking towards the future, another personal goal of mine is to have a steady job that I am passionate about to provide for my family. Currently, my professional goal is to one day be a building inspector or to be on a team that helps in the process of designing new homes and ensuring that those buildings are not only safe but are built to survive into the future.”

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Caleb!
