Callie, the daughter of Christopher and Andrea Wildenthaler, is a 2017 graduate of Galion High School. This fall, she will be entering her third year of a bachelor’s degree in zoology and environmental science at Ohio Wesleyan University.

With a love for animals and nature, Callie chose zoology and environmental science as her field of study. “I have always been passionate about working with animals and spending time in nature,” she declared. “From a young age I have been interested in the natural environment and in the wildlife surrounding us. I have volunteered at the Crawford Park District at Lowe Volk Park for several years, and I had the opportunity to participate in their summer nature camp as an intern last summer where my love for nature and wildlife was re-affirmed.” Callie plans to help others while protecting nature and its wildlife. “I plan to focus on marine biology…and would love to be able to work in marine biology or conservation after graduating. My life goal is to help others learn to enjoy and protect wildlife and the amazing environment we live in.”

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Callie!
