Cieara, the daughter of Darren and Chrystal Pfeifer, is a 2018 graduate of Colonel Crawford High School. She is entering her second year of a bachelor’s degree in computer science at Kent State University.

A summer program sparked Cieara’s interest in a career in computer science. “I participated in a summer immersion program in 2016 in California called, ‘Girls Who Code,’ she explained. “We learned some small basics about programming and made projects. Then, I…was a coder in the school’s robotics club. I learned that it was something I found interesting and rewarding to do.” After graduating, Cieara intends to follow her degree with a concentration into information security. “Eventually, I would like to move out west and possibly further my education and get my master’s degree.”

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Cieara!
