Katie, the daughter of Joey and Ashley Alpach, is a 2018 graduate of Bucyrus High School. She is attending North Central State College and studying occupational therapy.

Katie was inspired to choose occupational therapy by research done in high school. “It was a job that I researched for my senior project, and it ended up being my planned major,” she explained. “I love helping people and think this would be the perfect fit for me.” After graduating, Katie plans to pursue her career “in a hospital or nursing home.”

When asked to describe what she is enjoying most at college right now, Katie said, “Meeting new people and experiencing different opportunities for my future.”

Her advice to any non-traditional students: “Study, enjoy it while it lasts, and don’t give up no matter how tough it gets.”

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Katie!
