The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Samantha Wilhite, the 2019 recipient of the Crawford Forward Scholarship award.
Samantha, the daughter of Edward and Gail Wilhite, is a 2017 graduate of Crestline High School. She will be attending North Central State College this fall and entering her second year of an associate degree in radiological sciences.
A life experience inspired Samantha to choose radiology. “I have always had a passion for working with the public and in healthcare,” she stated. “The summer before my senior year, I performed CPR on a child and ever since that day, I knew healthcare was my calling. Radiology stuck out most to me because I love the anatomy of the human body and how you can see inside a person’s body. Getting to learn and see different pathologies of one’s body is truly unique. I know deep down, I chose the right field for me.” After graduation, Samantha plans to “work at a local hospital to serve my community…continue on and earn my bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration…[and] learn all the modalities that radiology has to offer.”
Congratulations and good luck in the future, Samantha!
