Shelby, the daughter of Robert Hale and Jennifer Schnelker, is a 2019 graduate of Colonel Crawford High School. She will be attending Duquesne University this fall and studying forensic science and law.

Shelby’s interest in crime and justice goes way back. “As long as I can remember I have been interested in crime and justice,” she stated. “I have an investigative personality, and I pay attention to small details. I also have a strong passion for science, specifically anatomy and physiology. I wanted to choose a major that incorporated both my love of science and my passion for solving mysteries.” After graduation, Shelby intends to further her education and get her master’s degree. “I would like to maximize my education and acquire a master’s degree. Following the attainment of my graduate schooling, I will obtain a career in either medical examination or crime scene investigation. I have not decided which yet. I wish to settle down with a family and purchase a house. More than anything, I want my future to be happy and prosperous.”

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Shelby!
