Niese, AliviaThe Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Alivia Niese, a 2020 recipient of one of the six Robert Schwaderer Scholarship awards.

Alivia, the daughter of Craig and Jennifer Niese, is a 2020 graduate of Buckeye Central High School. She will be attending the University of Findlay this fall and studying animal science pre-vet.

What inspired you to choose your intended major?

“Ever since I was a little girl, it was evident that I had a passion for animals. Everything that I did centered around my love of animals, from reading books about them to constantly asking if we could go to the zoo. When people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, there was always only one answer. I wanted to be a veterinarian, and my goal has not wavered to this day. I chose to major in animal science so that I could pursue my life-long dream of becoming a vet.”

What are your career and life goals after you graduate?

“After I graduate from the University of Findlay I hope to attend a school of veterinary medicine. My goal is to become a veterinarian and eventually open up my own animal clinic. I also would like to live on a farm out in the country, get married, and start my own family.”

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Alivia!
