Pollock, BrileyThe Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Briley Pollock, a 2020 recipient of one of the two Holmes Liberty Alumni Scholarship awards.

Briley, the daughter of Jeran and Nichole Pollock, is a 2020 graduate of Wynford High School. She will be attending The Ohio State University Marion Campus this fall and studying speech and hearing sciences.

What inspired you to choose your intended major?

“I have always wanted to choose a career path that is centered around working with younger aged kids and helping others. I have also wanted to choose a job in the medical field or something near that. Growing up I never had to take speech lessons but some friends of mine did. When I started to think of careers, speech pathologist crossed my mind, and after doing many hours of job shadowing a speech pathologist, I saw myself enjoying and succeeding in that career.”

What are your career and life goals after you graduate?

“After I graduate, I would like to see myself succeed in my major of speech and hearing sciences and being a speech pathologist. I would like to work with children preferably elementary level. I hope to find a job I enjoy in the Crawford County area and start a family.”

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Briley!
