Messmer, HannahThe Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Hannah Messmer, a 2020 recipient of the Daryl E. Stucky Memorial Scholarship award and the Jeanne A. Miller Scholarship award.

Hannah, the daughter of Todd and Michelle Messmer, is a 2020 graduate of Wynford High School. She will be attending Marion Technical College this fall and studying occupational therapy assistance.

What inspired you to choose your intended major?

“I was inspired by my senior project, which was job shadowing Emillee Smith who is a licensed occupational therapist. I was able to see her work with kids every day and see their growth over the year. I was then able to work in a pre-school classroom and do activities with the students there. This inspired me to become an occupational therapist assistant. I want to help change people’s lives for the better.”

What are your career and life goals after you graduate?

“After graduating both high school and college, I would like to find a job in a rehabilitation center or get into a school district, where I am able to work with young students. I would love to be a successful occupational therapist assistant and have a successful life.”

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Hannah!
