She plans to attend The Ohio State University Mansfield Campus this fall and study history. An iconic movie inspired Emily to choose history as her major. “In kindergarten, I watched *Titanic* for the first time and completely fell in love with it,” she explained. “I was fascinated when I saw how different life was back then, and that is what started my love for history. I love to spend time researching and learning as much as I can. After [high school] graduation, I was fortunate enough to visit Amsterdam and London…[and] experience the history first hand. That trip made me even more excited to start my career in history.” After graduating with a bachelor’s degree, Emily wants to further her education and ultimately share that knowledge. “My career goal after I graduate is to receive my Ph.D. in history. I hope to become a history professor and share my love of history with others and continue research.” Congratulations and good luck in the future, Emily!
