She will be attending Miami University this fall and studying biology/pre-med. Her mother inspired Kristen to become a doctor. “My mother suffered from congenital myasthenic syndrome for decades while it went undiagnosed,” she explained. “Her pain motivated me to become a doctor to help people like her. My passion for learning aligned with this career goal. Science and human life intrigue me, so I chose to major in biology with a premedical studies co-major on my path to becoming a physician.” After graduation, Kristen plans to proceed to medical school. “I plan to attend medical school with the goal of becoming…either a pediatrician or a pediatric surgeon. I plan on living wherever my career takes me…[and] would be more than happy to move back to Bucyrus.” Congratulations and good luck in the future, Kristen!
