Chloe Kaple

The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Chloe  Kaple, a 2022 recipient of one of the two Marvis Schaaf Scholarship awards.

Chloe, the daughter of Brett and Holly Kaple, is a 2022 graduate of Wynford  High School. She will be attending Hocking Technical College this fall and  studying Physical Therapy.

What inspired you to choose your intended major?

“From a young age, I wanted to help either people or animals, and going into high school, I had the option of becoming a Veterinary Technician or a Physical Therapy Assistant. While these are two polar opposite jobs, I had experience with large animals and babysitting mentally- and physically-challenged children. So, when the time came for me to job shadow one of these careers, I started with Physical Therapy. I instantly fell in love with Physical Therapy and everything it stands for. The men and women I shadowed showed me how fulfilling this career is and how big a difference it makes in my community. I wanted to be a part of this because I longed for a job where I could go out and work all day and come home at night and feel fulfilled. I knew being in this environment would allow me to help others and help me grow as an individual to my full potential.”

What are your career and life goals after you graduate?

“Going into Physical Therapy, I wish to work in a school of opportunity or a hospital setting for my first years in the workforce, so I gain the skills and knowledge needed to do more experienced therapy sessions. I eventually plan to work in a Hippotherapy clinic therapy on horseback. I grew up around horses, and to combine my two passions into a career would be a blessing.”

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Chloe!
