Brock Frost

The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Brock  Frost, a 2023 recipient of the Bucyrus High School Class of 1971 Scholarship  award, one of the six Crawford County Sports Hall of Fame Scholarship awards,  and one of the 19 Margaret and Donald Wenner, MD Scholarship awards.

Brock, the son of Tim Frost and Joy Quinlan, is a 2023 graduate of Bucyrus  High School. He is attending The Ohio State University this fall and studying  Mechanical Engineering.

What inspired you to choose your intended major?

“I was inspired to choose mechanical engineering as my major because of my interest in how things work. As a mechanical engineer, I get to find problems and design solutions to those problems. Being a mechanical engineer will also let me follow my passion for working with cars. This degree will equip me with the tools to pursue a successful career in the automotive field.”

What are your career and life goals after you graduate?

“After I graduate, I would love to pursue a career in the automotive field. I love cars, and having a career in the automotive industry would allow me to work with one of the things I enjoy the most. I would like to work in the research and development department or the performance division of a major automaker such as Honda or GM in the future. I know many opportunities to work for these companies through internships are offered at Ohio State, so I plan on taking full advantage of these. In the future, I would love to stay in Ohio and work for a company such as Honda, but I am also very open to traveling to different places if it was for the right company. For example, my dream automaker I would love to work for is Porsche. Porsche is based in Stuttgart, Germany, and their North American division is in Atlanta, Georgia. For them, I would gladly work in either location.”

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Brock!
