The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Hannah Delong, a 2023 recipient of one of the two Stan and Carolyn DeGreve Scholarship awards.
Hannah, the daughter of Keven Alan Delong and Shayla Marie Delong, is a 2021 graduate of Crestline High School. She will be entering her third year of a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice Studies at The Ohio State University this fall.
What is your favorite aspect of college life?
"My favorite aspect of college life is the constant work toward my future goals. I love being a part of a community that is setting me up to accomplish my educational goals with a newfound independency."
What new interest or courses of study have you discovered at college?
"Forensics, psychological factors in criminology, and juvenile delinquency."
In what ways has the college experience changed/improved you?
"It's allowed me to develop a different type of independency by living away from home, improve my time management, and obtain new interests based on the wide array of specific coursework options."
What advice would you give an incoming college freshman?
"Allow yourself to meet people, be kind to everyone, and take every chance you can get to try something new!"
What is one item on your bucket list?
"One item on my bucket list is to travel the world. I've always wanted to experience and learn about different cultures and the beautiful places our world has to offer."
