Lexis McCombs  The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Lexis  McCombs, a 2023 recipient of one of the five Merle and Peg Hutson Scholarship  awards.

Lexis, the daughter of Chad McCombs, Tracee McCombs, and Holly Bishop, is a  2023 graduate of Crestline High School. She is attending The Ohio State  University this fall and studying Radiologic Sciences and Therapy.

What inspired you to choose your intended major?

"When I was still in school, I was stressed out about not knowing what I wanted to go to college for. At first, I didn't think I wanted to do anything in the medical field, but I also knew that's where the money is and where all the job openings are. I looked through the lists of the medical jobs and came across my intended major. It sounded very interesting to me, and I saw I could become an x-ray tech, which always has job openings. I decided that's what I wanted to do."

What are your career and life goals after you graduate?

"After I graduate, I want to move back home and go work at a hospital in either Crawford County or Richland County. I want to be able to work in the community that I was raised in and live close to where all my family is."

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Lexis!
