The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Giselle Risner, a 2024 recipient of one of the two Dustin T. Stover Scholarship awards.
Giselle, the daughter of Dustin Ritchie and Noel Ritchie, is a 2024 graduate of Wynford High School. She will be attending North Central State College this fall and studying Healthcare.
What inspired you to choose your intended major?
"My mom, who is a travel RN, had inspired me to show interest in the field initially. Upon looking into it myself, I found a passion for the opportunity to have a direct and positive impact on people's lives. Additionally, the field is constantly evolving, offering opportunities for learning, professional growth, and teamwork."
What are your career and life goals after you graduate?
"My career goals are to get a well-rounded education in healthcare overall, and then pick a specialization, become an expert in that area, and become well-versed in patient advocacy and make sure their needs are being met. Continuous learning in the field will also be a staple in my career."
Congratulations and good luck in the future, Giselle!
