The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Kennedi Sipes, a 2024 recipient of one of the six Crawford County Sports Hall of Fame Scholarship awards, one of the two Merle and Peg Hutson Scholarship awards, and one of the three Richard A. Miller Scholarship awards.
Kennedi, the daughter of Kevin Sipes and Mindy Sipes, is a 2024 graduate of Crestline High School. She will be attending North Central State College this fall and studying Nursing.
What inspired you to choose your intended major?
"Ever since I was little, I have always dreamed of becoming a nurse. I have been inspired to become a pediatric nurse due to my genuine love for children and a strong desire to make a positive impact on not only the child's life, but the families lives as well. The joy of seeing a child smile, the opportunity to provide comfort and care during challenging times, and the chance to be a source of support for both the child and their family are all incredibly inspiring factors."
What are your career and life goals after you graduate?
"After I achieve my bachelor's degree in nursing, I plan to work at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus as a pediatric nurse. I plan to go back to college to also obtain my nurse practitioner degree."
Congratulations and good luck in the future, Kennedi!
