2024 Scholarship Recipient Spotlight: Lillian Neumann

Posted by Rachel Jarvis on Wed, Aug 28, 2024

The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Lillian Neumann, a 2024 recipient of one of the two John W. Brubaker, Jr. Scholarship awards.

Lillian, the daughter of Wesley Neumann and Angela Neumann, is a 2024 graduate of Bucyrus High School. She will be attending University of Findlay this fall and studying Exercise Science for Health Professions. What inspired you to choose your intended major?

"I tore my ACL, MCL, and meniscus my sophomore year and was in physical therapy for seven months. I had wonderful physical therapists that helped me make my knee come back stronger and better after my rough surgery. I always wanted to be in the medical field, but I did not want to be a bedside nurse or doctor. I loved everything about physical therapy, and having it done firsthand inspired me to want to become a physical therapist."

What are your career and life goals after you graduate?

"After I graduate college, I will have my Doctorate of Physical Therapy and intend to become a physical therapist at a clinic. I hope in the future I am able to work on collegiate or professional athletes and become a high level physical therapist in the sports industry."

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Lillian!
