The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Ava Lohr, a 2025 recipient of one of the 20 Doug and Renee Leuthold Scholarship awards and one of the three Dr. Joseph and Susan Shadeed Scholarship awards
Ava, the daughter of Kylie A. Lohr and Bryan R. Lohr, is a 2025 graduate of Colonel Crawford High School. She is attending Marion Technical College this fall and studying Sonography.
What inspired you to choose your intended major?
"I was inspired to get into the sonography program at Marion Technical College because I have my STNA and my MA certifications. My dream in life is to help people, and for my career, I want to stay within healthcare. Sonography seems like the best fit for me because it is in healthcare, and I get to be a part of people's journey as they expand their families."
What are your career and life goals after you graduate?
"My career and life goals after I graduate college are that I want to find a good job site close to home where I can work as an OBGYN Sonographer. After I am stable with my job, I would like to get a new car and house. After that, I hope to be married and travel for a few years and then start a family."
Congratulations and good luck in the future, Ava!
