Posted by Rachel Jarvis on Sun, Sep 21, 2025

Carley ZenderThe Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Carley Zender, a 2025 recipient of one of the three Kiwanis Kahle-Wenner Scholarship awards.

Carley, the daughter of Monica Zender and Cory Zender, is a 2025 graduate of Colonel Crawford High School. She is attending University of Findlay this fall and studying Pharmacy.

What inspired you to choose your intended major?

"Going into my senior year of high school, I had no clue on what major I wanted to pursue. After spending some time during the first semester of my senior year shadowing, I found a love for the field of pharmacy. I love the chemistry that is involved with it but also all the good that the medicines can do for people."

What are your career and life goals after you graduate?

"Some of my career goals are that I want to start working in a clinical setting of pharmacy once I graduate in 2031 with my Doctorate of Pharmacy. Another life goal of mine is also to own my own farm, especially with a barn so that I continue to have more horses which is a great passion of mine."

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Carley!
