Hannah DelongThe Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Hannah Delong, a 2025 recipient of one of the 20 Doug and Renee Leuthold Scholarship awards and one of the two Stan and Carolyn DeGreve Scholarship awards.

Hannah, the daughter of Shayla Delong and Keven Delong, is a 2021 graduate of Crestline High School. She is in her first year of a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work at Cleveland State University.

What is your favorite aspect of college life and why?

"My favorite aspect of college life is the opportunity to connect with others who share similar goals. I enjoy meeting new people all while developing a foundation of knowledge for my career."

What new interests or courses of study have you discovered at college?

"Since earning my bachelor's degree and now starting my master's degree, I've developed new interests in early interventions with at-risk youth populations. I am very interested in the benefits of animal-assisted therapies for those who have experience various types of trauma."

In what way has the college experience changed/improved you?

"Pursuing higher education has led me to establish a sense of belonging for myself. I have been able to hone in on my passions and take the steps to bring them to life."

What advice would you give an incoming college freshman?

"My best advice is to 'find the helpers.' And that goes for anyone, not just college students. When the helpers come together, that's how we change the world."

What is one item on your bucket list and why?

"To vacation in Bora Bora. I love the beach and traveling to see new places. Aside from that, I'm an adrenaline junkie, and my bucket list consists of anything of the sort!"

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Hannah!
