Isabel JohnsonThe Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Isabel Johnson, a 2025 recipient of one of the 20 Margaret and Donald Wenner, MD Scholarship awards.

Isabel, the daughter of Monica Suzanne Johnson and Jeremy Edward Johnson, is a 2025 graduate of Bucyrus High School. Isabel is attending Mount Vernon Nazarene University this fall and studying Music Performance and Digital Communication and Media.

What inspired you to choose your intended major?

"Ever since I was a child, I've always dreamed of becoming a singer. I love how music and singing is a unique way of sharing stories and inspiring people. I am deciding to double major with Communication and Media to help me get an occupation while I work on becoming successful as an original singer/songwriter. I like how this field gives me more of a creative opportunity through digital media, and I like the idea of being in a radio station."

What are your career and life goals after you graduate?

"Through my Music Performance major, I hope to equip the skills that will eventually help me become an original singer/songwriter and become very successful. I want to be able to share songs that inspire and connect with people but also share songs that have a personal meaning to me as well. I also hope to become a radio broadcaster from experiencing the Communication and Media field. I like the idea of talking on air and showing my personality on the radio. I also like the idea of presenting music discovery and making connections with listeners."

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Isabel!
