Seth PopeThe Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Seth Pope, a 2025 recipient of one of the six L. Earl Smith Scholarship awards and one of the four Wynford FFA Rising Sun Scholarship awards.

Seth, the son of Melissa Sue Pope and Bradley Jay Pope, is a 2025 graduate of Wynford High School. He is attending Wilmington College this fall and studying Agricultural Education.

What inspired you to choose your intended major?

"I chose to major in Agricultural Education because it puts two things that I am passionate about together: teaching and agriculture. My time in Vo-Ag classes also helped me choose this major as I saw the influence a good ag teacher can have on students.

What are your career and life goals after you graduate?

"After I graduate college, I plan on moving back to Crawford County to teach at a school in one of the surrounding counties. I also plan on farming and raising my children up in a good community like Crawford County has."

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Seth!
