Posted by Rachel Jarvis on Tue, Jul 14, 2026

Bailey BettsThe Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Bailey Betts, a 2026 recipient of one of the three Kiwanis Kahle-Wenner Scholarship awards and one of the two Rollie & Esther Wilson Scholarship awards.

Bailey, the daughter of Carrie Rochelle Betts and Jamison Robert Betts, is a 2026 graduate of Colonel Crawford High School. She is attending North Central State College this fall and studying Radiology.

What inspired you to choose your intended major?

"I chose radiology because I have always been interested in healthcare and helping others. I enjoy learning about the human body and using the technology to help make a difference in patients' lives. Radiology combines both of these interests, allowing me to work directly with patients while using advanced imaging equipment to assist doctors in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. I am excited to pursue a career where I can make a positive impact on people every day."

What are your career and life goals after you graduate?

"After graduating, my goal is to become a successful radiologic technologist and build a stable career in the healthcare field. I hope to continue learning and advancing my skills while providing compassionate care to patients. In the future, I would like to achieve financial independence, give back to my community, and create a fulfilling life where I can help others while doing work that I enjoy."

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Bailey!
