bacfbldgOn Thursday, February 2, the Bucyrus Area Community Foundation will host a Business After Hours event to celebrate the opening of its new office on East Mansfield Street in Bucyrus. The event, scheduled from 5pm to 7:30pm, will give community members the opportunity to see the new facility featuring offices for both the BACF and Crawford College Connection, as well as a state-of-the-art conference room that will be made available for small group meetings within the community.

“I had been exploring for locations for a new office for the Foundation for nearly five years,” said Janet Pry, BACF Executive Director. “The Board of Trustees ultimately picked the location on East Mansfield Street because it is a highly trafficked area, and we wanted to increase our visibility in the community.”

The purchase of the building from the Bucyrus Public Library and renovations were funded largely by a grant from the Timken Foundation and private donations, as well as contributions from the BACF.

“We cannot thank the Timken Foundation enough for their continued support of Bucyrus and the BACF,” said Dr. Glen McMurray, president of the Board of Trustees. “Their contributions, along with those of our local donors for this project, have helped solidify the BACF’s position as the catalyst for improving the quality of life in Crawford County.”
