COMMUNITY FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES GRANTS

The Community Foundation for Crawford County recently announced more than $405,000 in grants to local non-profit agencies distributed so far this year.

We are proud to be able to provice $191,000 to 37 organizations in designated agency and agency fund grants and $214,000 to 15 agencies in community grants.

Community grants went to:

  • Together We Hurt, Together We Heal — $10,000 towards a sober living facility for male recovering addicts
  • Village of Crestline - $3,500 towards the Lady Softball Complex
  • American Red Cross - $20,000 towards a new disaster response vehicle
  • Team Focus - $5,000 towards a leadership camp for young Crawford County fatherless males
  • Wayside Christian School - $1,200 for an automated external defibrillator
  • Junior Achievement - $5,400 towards program funding for Crawford County school classrooms
  • Alpha Recovery 12-Step Program - $10,000 towards renovation for a sober living facility for female recovering addicts
  • Bucyrus Public Library - $7,200 towards an upgraded security system
  • Galion Youth Baseball - $20,000 towards improved fencing and backstop at Peco Park and Galion Graders fields
  • Bucyrus Township Volunteer Fire Department - $2,945 for six gas air monitoring systems
  • Wildlife Haven - $5,000 towards food and intern scholarship expenditures
  • United Way of Crawford County - $3,750 towards the 2-1-1 information and referral service
  • North Central State College Foundation - $50,000 for the Crawford Success Center
  • Crawford County Education and Economic Development Partnership – 1) $50,000 towards the 2020 Vision initiative, and 2) $20,000 to Crawford Works to help the working poor advance to self-sufficiency

Established in 1985 with the help of the Timken Foundation, The Community Foundation for Crawford County works to enhance the quality of life for all Crawford County residents.
