The Community Foundation for Crawford County recently thanked their donors with an Evening of Philanthropy at the new home of the Crestline Historical Society at 400 S. Scott Street, Crestline, Ohio. Contributors from around Crawford County braved the cold weather to gather and enjoy food, drinks, socializing, and tours of the museum.

The 2019 Spirit of Philanthropy Award was presented by Foundation Board Chair, Dr. Pete Maynard, and President, Lisa Workman, via a surprise video to this year’s recipient, Tom Holtshouse, who was unable to attend. Mr. Holtshouse is a tireless volunteer and a generous donor to many worthwhile organizations and their causes in our community.

Mrs. Workman reminded the audience that the Foundation’s annual #Giving2sday fundraiser will be held Tuesday, December 3rd. Interested parties can use the power of social media to raise funds by soliciting friends and old Crawford County classmates for donations after logging into https://cfcrawford.networkforgood.com/ and creating their own fundraising page to share. You can fundraise for any fund held at the Foundation, even the Crawford Impact Fund, which is the fund at the Foundation that has given more than $2.8 million in grants to our local community in the last decade.
