2020 Scholarship Recipient Spotlight: Ann Kilgore

Kilgore, AnnThe Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Ann Kilgore, a 2020 recipient of one of the five fall semester Pry Scholarship awards.

Ann, the daughter of Ruth Loyd and the late Stanley Whitmore, is a 1982 graduate of Galion High School/Pioneer Career & Technology Center. She is attending North Central State College and studying licensed social work.

What is your favorite aspect of college life?

“I get to learn a new career as a licensed social worker”

In what ways has the college experience changed/improved you?

“I respect the future I have in becoming a licensed social worker.”

What new interest or courses of study have you discovered at college?

“I enjoy mental behavior, psychology and history.”

What advice would you give an incoming college freshman?

“You are never too old to learn a new career! Get excited about new jobs available and keep up with the times.”
