2023 Scholarship Recipient Spotlight: Jackson Moody

 The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce  Jackson Moody, a 2023 recipient of one of the nine Glen and Alice Beers  Scholarship awards and one of the 19 Margaret and Donald Wenner, MD  Scholarship awards. 

 Jackson, the son of Charles Moody and Amy O'Connell, is a 2019 graduate of  Bucyrus High School. He will be entering his first year of graduate school to  obtain his Master of Divinity at Nazarene Theological Seminary this fall.

Foundation Announces 2023 Scholarship Recipients

The Community Foundation for Crawford County recently awarded over $206,000 in scholarships to both graduating seniors and current college students. As President Lisa Workman explained, “These results are from 34 of the 37 scholarship funds held here at the Foundation. Of the 122 individual scholarships awarded, $88,000, or roughly 42%, went to college students, and 34 of them were renewals. We are thrilled to see that college students from Crawford County still apply for our scholarships and hope that keeping their college debt down will also help prevent drop-out.”

2022 Scholarship Recipient Spotlight: Taylor Niese

 The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Taylor  Niese, a 2022 recipient of one of the 19 Doug and Renee Leuthold Scholarship  awards and one of the 19 Margaret and Donald Wenner, MD Scholarship  awards.

 Taylor, the daughter of Dan Niese and Sheila Sobers, and stepdaughter of  Jenny Niese and Erik Sobers, is a 2018 graduate of Buckeye Central High  School. She is in her fifth year of a doctorate program in Pharmacy and Spanish  at Ohio Northern University.

Earl Smith Scholarship awards, one of the 19  Margaret and Donald Wenner, MD Scholarship awards, and one of the three  Robert Schwaderer Scholarship awards

 Sidney, the daughter of Michael and Andrea Long, is a 2016 graduate of  Buckeye Central High School. She will be entering her third year of a doctorate  program in Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University this fall.

 Paige, the daughter of Daniel and Susan Shealy, is a 2018 graduate of Buckeye  Central High School. She will be entering her first year of a doctorate program  in Physical Therapy at The Ohio State University this fall.

Student Achievement Event Cancelled

The Evening of Student Achievement event hosted by The Community Foundation for Crawford County and the North Central State College Foundation that was to take place on Thursday, June 2nd at 5:30pm has been cancelled. Due to low RSVPs so close to the event, the Foundations decided to forgo this year's event to hopefully revive it next year.

The Community Foundation for Crawford County Awards Come Home Scholarship

Once again, The Community Foundation for Crawford County has presented a Come Home Scholarship Award. These unique awards are used toward college debt. In return, the recipients must move back to Crawford County to live and work. The 5th such award to be granted by the Foundation, the most recent recipient was Tad Fannin.

Foundation launches campaign for their Come Home Scholarship Program

The Community Foundation for Crawford County announces the launch of their spring fundraising campaign to support the Come Home Scholarship Program. The Foundation is asking their supporters to become a fundraiser or give a donation today by visiting https://cfcrawford.networkforgood.com/. Their online campaign will run for one week from Tuesday, May 14, 2019 to Tuesday, May 21, 2019 with a goal of $10,000.
