2020 Scholarship Recipient Spotlight: Emma Rhodes

Rhodes, EmmaThe Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Emma Rhodes, a 2020 recipient of one of the five Kenneth Cummins Scholarship awards.

Emma, the daughter of Brian and Valerie Rhodes, is a 2020 graduate of Buckeye Central High School. She will be attending The Ohio State University this fall and studying nursing.

What inspired you to choose your intended major?

“I have always had a passion for helping others and taking care of people. Also, my job as an STNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant) has made me develop a love for nursing and assured me that I am on the right path.”

What are your career and life goals after you graduate?

“I would like to work in a children’s hospital as an RN (Registered Nurse), preferably in Columbus, Ohio.”
