Long, StevenThe Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Steven Long, a 2020 recipient of one of the six Robert Schwaderer Scholarship awards.

Steven, the son of Michael and Andrea Long, is a 2020 graduate of Buckeye Central High School. He will be attending Miami University this fall and studying chemistry.

What inspired you to choose your intended major?

“In my junior and senior years, I learned that chemistry was my favorite topic. I love learning about chemistry because of its intricacy and importance in the world. While it might be confusing at times, chemistry is like magic and is more exciting to me than any other class.”

What are your career and life goals after you graduate?

“Once I graduate I would like to find a job at a research facility. I am very interested in research. I would also like to travel around the world and explore areas outside of Ohio. Being part of a discovery that has a large positive impact on the world or humanity is a long term goal of mine, but currently I plan to focus on school.”

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Steven!
