Cheney, BrynnThe Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Brynn Cheney, a 2021 recipient of one of the six Merle and Peg Hutson Scholarship awards and one of the two Richard A. Miller Scholarship awards.

Brynn, the daughter of Jared Cheney and Olivia Cornelly, is a 2021 graduate of Crestline High School. She will be attending Ohio University - Athens Campus this fall and studying chemistry/pre-med.

What inspired you to choose your intended major?

“A life-long experience with my own skin disease [inspired me]. A great group of doctors and an organized care plan really intrigued my desire for this career path. I have also wanted to help kids who struggle with skin disease because I feel as if I can relate to them it will help them cope with their own situation.”

What are your career and life goals after you graduate?

“I plan on graduating from Ohio University after 4 years, and then testing to go into med school. After med school, I hope to work in a hospital and pursue my dreams.”

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Brynn!
