Cross, CarrieThe Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Carrie Cross, a 2021 recipient of one of the spring semester Pry Scholarship awards.

Carrie, the daughter of Frank Bowman and Connie Fritz, is a 2009 graduate of Bucyrus High School/PCTC. She is attending North Central State College with the intent to become a Registered Nurse (RN).

What is your favorite aspect of college life and why?

“I enjoy learning new things. I love clinicals and getting to do hands on learning.”

What advice would you give a non-traditional student who is contemplating taking college courses?

“It is worth it! Taking the plunge and making the change to go back to school is hard, but it benefits your life in so many ways.”

What do you intend to do after you graduate?

“I will work full-time, possibly at a local hospital. I would like to go back and receive my bachelor’s.”

Fun Question – If you could take a dream vacation, where would you go?

“I would go to Hawaii. It looks absolutely beautiful, and they have an amazing, rich culture.”

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Carrie!
