Collene, LoganThe Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Logan Collene, a 2021 recipient of the Crawford Forward Scholarship award and one of the two Tyler Niese Memorial Scholarship awards.

Logan, the son of James and Trina Collene, is a 2021 graduate of Buckeye Central High School. He will be attending The Ohio State University-Mansfield campus this fall and studying mechanical engineering.

What inspired you to choose your intended major?

“My dad is a mechanical engineer himself, and growing up I have always looked up to him. I became more interested as I became older and took a strong interest in math and science. It seems like a great fit for me entering college, and I can't wait to see where it takes me.”

What are your career and life goals after you graduate?

“In terms of a career, I hope to one day go into a mechanical engineering career that I have a lot of interest in. Doing something I am interested in is very important to me and my future. I don't know where I'm going to go in life after college, but I'm hoping to find my place eventually. After I graduate college, I want to do a lot of travelling. I've always wanted to travel a lot and never got much of a chance while growing up. I also want to get married and eventually settle down. I want to have a nice stable life. That being said, I have no idea what the future holds. My blueprint can change at any time, and I am just happy to be a part of the ride.”

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Logan!
