The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Sydney Studer, a 2022 recipient of one of the 19 Doug and Renee Leuthold Scholarship awards and one of the 19 Margaret and Donald Wenner, MD Scholarship awards.
Sydney, the daughter of Dominic and Amanda Studer, is a 2018 graduate of Colonel Crawford High School. She will be entering her first year of a doctorate program in Pharmacy at University of Findlay this fall.
What is your favorite aspect of college life?
“My favorite aspect of college is the friendships and relationships I have developed over the last few years. There are also a lot of on campus and community organizations that have been a huge part of my college experience.”
What new interest or courses of study have you discovered at college?
“During my time in college, I discovered that I am interested in hospital pharmacy or ambulatory care pharmacy. I really enjoy my hospital pharmacy internship and have learned a lot through it.”
In what ways has the college experience changed/improved you?
“My college experience has helped me grow in many different ways, both personally and professionally. I have had the opportunity to be a part of professional organizations as well as bible studies and volunteer programs that has helped shape me into the person I am today.”
What advice would you give an incoming college freshman?
“Figure out what studying techniques work for you. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. How you study may not be the same as your peers, but that's ok. Develop good studying habits early on and remember to enjoy your time in college.”
What is one item on your bucket list?
“Graduation is only a few years away and has been on my bucket list for a while. I am excited to be able to apply the knowledge and skills I have learned in school to help improve the health of patients and individuals in our community.”
