What inspired you to choose your intended major?

"Physics and math are essential to understanding the world around us. I have always enjoyed both subjects and had a desire to have a deeper understanding of the world we live in. Both physics and mathematics develop skills that are highly in demand by a wide range of employers, so the opportunities for my future career are varied."

What are your career goals after you graduate?

"I would like to work for a tech start up. I am hoping to be a data scientist and use my coding skills to help grow the company."

Please describe the international experience you will be taking:

"I will be attending the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. The school of mathematics and statistics is internationally ranked and considered on the forefront of new technology innovations and scientific research. I chose to study in Australia for the excellent education system, but the quality of education was not the only draw. Australia has a warm climate, incredible landscapes, wildlife, and beaches. I am looking forward to broadening not only my academic horizons, but my knowledge of other cultures. I am hoping to have to the opportunity to study with other international students as Australia has a large population of international students. Since English is the national language, there will not be a language barrier as I take classes and navigate the daily aspects of life in a new country."
