What is your favorite aspect of college life?
"My favorite aspect of college life is having the opportunity to meet new people from all around the state and country. It is cool to meet new people with similar career aspirations."
What new interest or courses of study have you discovered at college?
"When I came to college, I wanted to study wildlife and fisheries resources. Later, I took a soils class that was really cool. Since then, I have taken more soils classes and added a second major in soil science."
In what ways has the college experience changed/improved you?
"College has helped me to step out of my comfort zone, meet new people, and try new things. This has helped me to find more opportunities and more hobbies that I enjoy."
What advice would you give an incoming college freshman?
"My best advice for an incoming freshman is to try new things. There are a lot of opportunities in college to do something different, take an interesting class, or meet new people."
What is one item on your bucket list?
"One item on my bucket list is to see a bobcat in the wild. I have gone to school in West Virginia for over three years now, and I haven't been lucky enough to see one yet."
Congratulations and good luck in the future, Alex!
