2023 Scholarship Recipient Spotlight: Courtney Posey

Courtney Posey  The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce  Courtney Posey, a 2023 recipient of one of the 19 Doug and Renee Leuthold  Scholarship awards and one of the 19 Margaret and Donald Wenner, MD  Scholarship awards.

 Courtney, the daughter of Gregory Neil Hildebrand and Kathleen Suzanne  Hildebrand, is a 1999 graduate of Bucyrus High School. She will be entering her  second year of a Master's Degree in Social Work at Ohio University this fall.

What is your favorite aspect of college life?

"I love the ongoing opportunity to learn new things and expand my entire world."

What new interest or courses of study have you discovered at college?

"I have renewed my love of work in the human services field."

In what ways has the college experience changed/improved you?

"I have become better at time management and also learned that I am capable of more than I knew."

What advice would you give an incoming college freshman?

"I would advise an incoming freshman to find a sense of self-esteem and an open mind."

What is one item on your bucket list?

"I want to go to Hawaii... travel more in general... to see the world."
