The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Drew Rose, a 2023 recipient of one of the 19 Doug and Renee Leuthold Scholarship awards and one of the seven Kenneth Cummins Scholarship.
Drew, the son of Harold Anthony Rose and Erin Nicole Mutchler-Rose, is a 2023 graduate of Buckeye Central High School. He will be attending the University of Cincinnati this fall and studying Finance.
What inspired you to choose your intended major?
“I have always loved saving my money since I was a little kid. I figured since I loved to do this, that finance would be a good major for me. Also, throughout school, math has always come easier to me, so I wanted to make sure I was in the business world. I also job shadowed at a local bank, and I enjoyed that experience, which was another factor that showed finance might not be the worst option for me to continue my schooling on.”
What are your career and life goals after you graduate?
“After I graduate, I plan to work for a local business either back home or in Cincinnati. From there, I plan to work my way up the ladder and eventually become a manager of the company. My biggest goal is to be able to start my own family business with some of my cousins as we have always talked about doing this. I plan to settle down in a city where there are not too many people and start a family as well after I have my feet underneath me after college.”
Congratulations and good luck in the future, Drew!
