The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Ella Lehman, a 2023 recipient of one of the six Arlene H. Smith Scholarship awards.
Ella, the daughter of Brock Lehman and Kristin Lehman, is a 2023 graduate of Galion High School. She will be attending Kent State University this fall and studying Nursing.
What inspired you to choose your intended major?
"My inspiration to provide care through the field of nursing came from seeing how much of a difference a good nurse can make in the caregiving process. My desire to work in the healthcare field was reinforced by my ability to obtain my Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy Certifications from Pioneer Career and Technology Center before graduating high school."
What are your career and life goals after you graduate?
"I hope to graduate Kent State University with my BSN and pursue a career as a Registered Nurse. I look forward to making a difference in the lives of others."
