The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Jacob Hamm, a 2023 recipient of one of the two John W. Brubaker, Jr. Scholarship awards, one of the three Kiwanis Kahle-Wenner Scholarship awards, and one of the 19 Margaret and Donald Wenner, MD Scholarship awards.
Jacob, the son of Michael Hamm and Terra Hamm, is a 2023 graduate of Bucyrus High School. He is attending the University of Toledo this fall and studying Computer Science and Engineering.
What inspired you to choose your intended major?
"I have always had an interest in technology and figuring out how different things work (machinery/technology). I have also enjoyed building things from start to finish and challenging myself while doing so. In regards to Computer Science, I will have a mix of technology, configuration, and challenge."
What are your career and life goals after you graduate?
"I intend to attend the University of Toledo and pursue a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering. While in college, I hope to gain job experience through classes, shadowing, and internships. After college, I would like to become a software developer."
Congratulations and good luck in the future, Jacob!
