Lauryn Tadda

The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce  Lauryn Tadda, a 2023 recipient of one of the 19 Doug and Renee Leuthold  Scholarship awards and one of the two Stan and Carolyn DeGreve Scholarship  awards.

Lauryn, the daughter of Geoffrey Tadda and Amy Tadda, is a 2020 graduate of  Crestline High School. She is in her fourth year of a Bachelor’s Degree in Public  Relations at Kent State University.

What is your favorite aspect of college life?

“My favorite aspect of college life is being surrounded by very smart people academically, while also learning how to figure out life together. I love knowing that all my friends are one door away and the friendships I have made will be the friendships I have forever.”

What new interest or courses of study have you discovered at college?

“I came in as a fashion design major and quickly learned that I enjoy generating ideas for the audience. I love that I changed my major and it led me to find what I truly enjoy which is public relations. I've learned how to use digital design and social media to promote businesses and products.”

In what ways has the college experience changed/improved you?

“College has made me 1,000 times more responsible than I ever had to be. It has also taught me that it is okay to fail. As long as you fail forward. If you were going for a goal and fail at least you still have all that knowledge to try again.”

What advice would you give an incoming college freshman?

“A piece of advice I would give to an incoming college freshman would be to know who you are and what you stand for. You will be meeting many new people who will come from many different backgrounds than you. Find yourself and stay true to it!”

What is one item on your bucket list?

“One item on my bucket list is to travel to Europe for a summer. I would love to indulge in their culture and learn about ways of life that I otherwise wouldn't learn about.”

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Lauryn!
