Reece Zeigler  The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Reece  Zeigler, a 2023 recipient of one of the 19 Margaret and Donald Wenner, MD  Scholarship awards.

Reece, the son of Chad Zeigler and Michelle Zeigler, is a 2020 graduate of  Bucyrus High School. He is in his fourth year of a Bachelor's Degree in Art and  Design at Hiram College this fall.

What is your favorite aspect of college life?

"My favorite aspect of college life is the small atmosphere/environment. I enjoy having the small class sizes, where it gives me the opportunity to have more one-on-ones with my professors. I love the close family atmosphere with the other students as well."

What new interest or courses of study have you discovered at college?

"A new interest I have discovered at college is photography. Because of my art and design major, I have had the opportunity to take a few photography classes, and this has really sparked my interest in developing these skills. I have also discovered history roleplaying classes that have been really interesting."

In what ways has the college experience changed/improved you?

"College has taught me to be more responsible because there is no one there to get you to where you need to be. You have to rely on yourself in order to get tasks done. It has improved my time management because I used to be a procrastinator, and since college, I have been really good with managing my time and getting my work done on time or in advance."

What advice would you give an incoming college freshman?

"I would suggest coming into college undecided, take a few classes, and see what your interest goes towards. Once you find an area of study after a semester, then start putting in your time and effort for that study."

What is one item on your bucket list?

"I want to travel out of of the country because I have always wanted to do this, and I love to travel to new places."

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Reece!
