The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Sydney Wenzinger, a 2023 recipient of one of the 19 Doug and Renee Leuthold Scholarship awards, one of the nine Glen and Alice Beers Scholarship awards, and one of the 19 Margaret and Donald Wenner, MD Scholarship awards.
Sydney, the daughter of Dominic Studer and Amanda Studer, is a 2018 graduate of Colonel Crawford High School. She will be entering her fifth year of a Doctorate program in Pharmacy at University of Findlay this fall.
What is your favorite aspect of college life?
"My favorite aspect of college was the friendships and the connections I was able to make. College is a great time to form new friendships and begin to network to build connections with people working in your area of interest."
What new interest or courses of study have you discovered at college?
"While in college, I discovered I enjoy learning how medications affect the body to get the desired effects and how to treat certain medical conditions."
In what ways has the college experience changed/improved you?
"I have grown a lot throughout my years at Findlay. I was able to get involved in a variety of organizations and discover what I am passionate about."
What advice would you give an incoming college freshman?
"Get involved in organizations you are passionate about and be open to new opportunities. College is not only a time to discover your strengths and weaknesses, but also a time to improve your weaknesses to prepare yourself for your career."
What is one item on your bucket list?
"After I graduate and save enough money, I would like to take my family and my husband's family on a vacation to thank them for all their support throughout the years. They have invested a lot into me and my education. I would like to thank them by giving them an experience I know they would enjoy."
