2024 Scholarship Recipient Spotlight: Brittany Ross

Brittany RossThe Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Brittany Ross, a 2024 recipient of one of the 19 Doug and Renee Leuthold Scholarship awards.

Brittany, the daughter of Douglas Ross and Carla Ross, is a 2010 graduate of Galion High School and Pioneer Career & Technology Center. She is in her second year of Associate's Degree in Human Services and Social Work at North Central State College.

 

What is your favorite aspect of college life and why?

"My favorite aspect of college has been the classes that I'm taking for my major. I cannot express how much I have enjoyed learning about the social work field."

What new interests or courses of study have you discovered at college?

"I have found an interest in Psychology during my three semesters at NC State.

In what ways has the college experience changed/improved you?

"I feel that along with learning how to better help individuals in the future, I'm also gaining a better understanding of myself as well through the knowledge I'm gaining in college."

What advice would you give an incoming college freshman?

"Two words: TIME MANAGEMENT!"

What is one item on your bucket list and why?

"Scuba diving, because my greatest fear is the ocean, and if I can face that, I can face anything."
