What is your favorite aspect of college life and why?

"My favorite aspect of college life was living in the dorm and being able to meet and make a lot of new friends. I was able to make around 15 new friendships throughout my first year just by living in a campus dorm. Going into college, I afraid of living in the dorm, especially when I was moving in with two people I had never met. However, I am so happy that I lived in the dorm because some of my favorite memories came with my roommates."

What new interests or courses of study have you discovered at college?

"One new interest that I have is studying some classes in the sports administrative program at college. I was very lucky to work in the athletic department my first year of college, and it allowed me to see that I want to explore the sports industry. I am also very interested in finance classes, which I should be getting into this year, which is my declared major. Going into college, I had my mind set on only getting a major in finance; however, I now plan on getting a minor in sports administration and/or risk management to go along with my finance major."

In what way has the college experience changed/improved you?

"My first year of college has improved multiple different aspects of my life. The first aspect it improved was that it showed me how to be more social and to go outside my comfort zone to make new friends. I have realized that the only way to make new relationships is to reach out to people and have conversations with them. College also taught me good life skills like making my own meals when needed, when to laundry, when to study, and when to set time aside for myself to be around my friends and not worry about school. I would like to say that college has taught me how to manage my time and how to separate my school and personal life from one another."

What advice would you give an incoming college freshman?

"Some advice I would give an incoming freshman is to not stress the little things and enjoy the fact you are living on your own for the first time. The little things are important, however, there is no need to stress over them because they will all work themselves out. Another piece of advice I would give is to not be afraid to reach out to your professor's for help when you need it. The professor's are there to help you succeed, and they want you to be able to pass their classes."

What is one item on your bucket list and why?

"One item on my bucket list is to travel to Argentina to watch a soccer game that Lionel Messi is playing in or to buy a ticket to one of his games in the United States now that he plays in Miami. The trip to Argentina would be the best option because I want to travel to a different country as well as meeting my favorite soccer player of all time."

Congratulations and good luck in the future, Drew!
