The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Grace Everett, a 2024 recipient of one of the 19 Doug and Renee Leuthold Scholarship awards, the Jeanne A. Miller Scholarship award, one of the three Kiwanis Kahle-Wenner Scholarship awards, and the Mount Zion Milton Harman Scholarship award.
Grace, the daughter of James Everett and Marion Allen, is a 2024 graduate of Wynford High School. She will be attending The Ohio State University this fall and studying Pre-Medicine Biology.
What inspired you to choose your intended major?
"Ever since I was a child, I had a strong interest in science. Before I had a major picked out, I wanted a science-based major. Originally, I wanted to do nursing, but I changed my mind and decided on becoming a doctor. Pre-Medicine Biology allows me to gain the required credits for medical school, while allowing me to get a better understanding of science."
What are your career and life goals after you graduate?
"My career goal is to become a pediatrician because I want to work with children and become a doctor. I have since not decided if I want to specialize within the realm of pediatrics, but I do know for a fact that I want to be a pediatrician. There are so many possibilities, and I want to explore more potential specialties, but, for now, I do not have a definitive answer."
Congratulations and good luck in the future, Grace!
