The Community Foundation for Crawford County is pleased to introduce Madalynn Lutz, a 2024 recipient of the Nancy Angene Johnson Scholarship award.
Madalynn is a 2024 graduate of Wynford High School. She is attending The Ohio State University- Marion this fall and studying Early Childhood Education.
What inspired you to choose your intended major?
"Being the oldest sibling has had a huge impact on the career I chose. I love my siblings more than anything and anyone. I used to make them play "School" with me. I took classes in high school where I would mentor little kids over in the elementary. I realized that being in the classroom was where I would want to be."
What are your career and life goals after you graduate?
"My career and life goals after I graduate are simple. I want to be happy and successful. Just like anyone else. As of now, I hope to be a first grade teacher. I have decided I do not want older kids. I would like to work with younger kids. I want a couple of kids of my own. Right now, I am coaching 5th and 6th grade volleyball and hope to move up with my knowledge to a higher level."
Congratulations and good luck in the future, Madalynn!
